Turn off your damn tv and start reading books.
Here are some suggestions:
1. 1984 by George Orwell
2. Gulag by Anne Applebaum
3. Anything by P.J. O'Rourke
more as they come to me.
And might I suggest learn something new? Go to the bookstore and look around for a book on something that interests you and buy it. Turn off the trash that is on the idiot box. Do you really care what Bragnelina is doing? I don't. And you can add housefraus of Orange County, Brook Hogan ( who?) , and whatever else VH1 and E! offer.

Holiday Sweaters
Ladies, please stop wearing the stupid holiday sweaters. It disturbs me to see adult women wearing sweaters and sweatshirts with glued on cut out reindeer, Christmas trees or who knows what else. That might be cute when you are 5. Not now. Here's a website that showcases some of the finest specimens.

Let's buy everyone some more junk!
Gee whiz. Here we go again. All the co-workers are in a frenzy over Christmas. They're going down the list of what they have to get all their relatives and kids. And I'm sure they'll be passing out the nifty gifties to fellow employees. It is all so stupid and it makes me want to start smacking them.
Do you know why? Becuase it seems to me that no one can even remember what Christmas is about. Remember Jesus? Yes, it is the celebration of his birth. God incarnate came to dwell among humans and die for us so we would not face eternity and total seperation from God. It is not about buying the latest electronics and clothes all made in China by commie slave labor. It is not about some fictional fat man that eats cookies and leaves gifts under the tree. Crack open the bible and read the gospel of John, Matt, Luke or Mark. It's all right there people.
And another thing if I have to hear the word "stocking stuffers" I swear I'm going to puke.
